Welcome to our very first Tap House of the Month.  This month we turn our attention to Aces and Ales.  With two locations in the Vegas Valley, our review is focused on the Tenaya and Cheyenne spot.

Aces and Ales

Ladies of Aces and Ales

50 rotating beer taps is the focal point of this craft beer hangout.  As a local’s bar, keeping the beer selection fresh and new is one way to keep them coming back.  You can find everything from pilsners to stouts, saisons to IPAs.  A couple of the local brews on tap include Big Dog’s and Crafthaus.  As of this review they also have an Aces and Ales exclusive, a collaboration with Black Market Brewery that is an Unfiltered IPA.  Two of my favorites are the Four Star Pils and the Mother Earth ESB.  You can check out the live tap list anytime by clicking here.draft beer

This bar has everything that a Vegas local would want.  video poker machines, booths in the bar area, a large dining room, outdoor patio and a private room for special events or parties.  Big screen TV’s line the bar and dining area and during the NFL season Raider fans fill the place up.  Come down early before game time to catch a live pre game broadcast from 107.5.  $5 featured drafts and shot specials run throughout gameday.

There are many other promotions and events that you can find here.  Hoppy Hour mon – fri, Sinner Sunday specials, trivia night on Tuesday and Karaoke on Wednesday. They sell branded Growlers and have an exceptional cooler full of craft beer bottles for sale.  Check out all the specials, upcoming events and times at acesandales.com.craft beers

When you stop in make sure to say hi to Matt.  Not only does he bartend and manage the place but he is also a Certified Cicerone.  One of only 40 in the Vegas area.  He is currently studying to become an Advanced Cicerone in 2017.  At the time of this writing, he will become the first Advanced Cicerone in Las Vegas when he passes. While you are there be sure to say hello to the ladies of Aces, Courtney, Krystal, and Kim.

  1. Thank you for an awesome review!!! Youve set my goals for next year high based on this praise!!! Thank you again and see you soon over a beer or two! Cheers!

  2. Excellent review. Thanks.

Last time I was in Vegas I really struggled to get good ale. Being from the UK We get good ale in just about every pub we walk into. Things are more difficult in the states! Most places its just Bud, Bub light and some other European lager. Getting good proper ale is quite a challenge.
So Its great to see you pointing out some real top quality Tap Houses with lots of quality choices. I’ll be sure to check this out next time I’m in Vegas!

    • I do agree that it can be difficult to find some good ales out here Vegas. Over the past couple years we have been getting better out here. I’m glad this review was helpful and I hope future ones will be just a resourceful.
